Prieuré is a majestic wine, and it is what has enabled our viticulture to reach the present day, overcoming even the most difficult periods. Over the centuries, the love of winemakers for this product has helped them to cope with numerous economic difficulties, climatic adversities and problems related to the arrival of phylloxera, other fungal diseases and more in the late 1800s.
Already known in the early 1200s, Prieuré wine led the way in the economic fortunes of our area through to the 1700s, when it was esteemed even more highly than the best Burgundy wines.
